Part 2
Professional Learning Audit and Plan
As a pre-service teacher, it is crucial to recognise that learning is a reciprocal process; students are not the only ones developing their knowledge and skills. To thrive in my role and support my students effectively, I must also commit to continuous professional growth by extending my subject knowledge, refining my skills, and consistently evaluating my teaching strategies. Ongoing self-reflection and targeted professional learning enable me to respond adaptively to diverse classroom contexts and evolving educational practices (DET, 2017).

In alignment with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, “2.6 Information and Communication Technology (ICT)” and “3.2 Plan, structure and sequence learning programs” are particularly relevant to my professional development. These standards guide me to integrate technology effectively into my teaching and to design well-structured, sequential learning experiences that promote student engagement and achievement (AITSL, 2017).

The attached Professional Learning Audit and Plan will serve as a roadmap, providing a clear framework to identify and prioritise the specific areas in which I need to improve. By systematically addressing these areas, I will enhance both my pedagogical practice and my capacity to create inclusive, purposeful, and engaging learning environments.
